Competition Rules

1. Participants

The competition is open to all first time female filmmakers that have previously not been working as a film industry professional and whose work has not been published yet.

2. Topic

The theme of the short film competition is: “Female Fantasies” The maximum duration of the films is ten minutes. From subtle to explicit erotica – you choose how you would like to express yourself.

3. Youth Protection

All performers in the submitted erotic films have to be aged 18 or above. Please obtain for your records a signed photocopy of a legal proof of age (driving license, ID and/or passport) and a signed release form where the performers give you permission for their footage to be published in any medium world-wide without time restrictions. You will need to supply this paperwork to us should your film win a prize and be selected for publication.

4. Deadline

The films and the registration documents must have reached us by the 30th September 2012.

Please send a digital copy of the film in either QuickTime or Mpeg format. Please also send two high and two low resolution stills from the film.

The best way to send your film and stills is via the free software or Just email us the link to your uploaded, compressed file: and remember to also mail the filled in and signed submission form.

If you need to send a hard copy of your film and paperwork, email us and we will give you a postal address for submissions.

5. Postage fees

The costs of sending the DVD will be covered by the film-maker. We will not accept deliveries that have not been paid for. We will not be able to send any submitted work back, so do not send any masters/originals.

6. Further agreements

The film-maker confirms that she has the right to submit the film to the competition and holds the copyright to all audio-visual material submitted. No copy-righted music will be used on the films – if you want to use music, find copyright-free music online.

The film-makers have to confirm that neither Petra Joy nor any sponsors can be sued by third parties regarding the rights of this film and accept full liability for the submission of this film which is under their copyright.

The film-maker agrees with the submission of the film and submission form that they accept the rules of this competition.
